One of my most favorite episodes from I Love Lucy is the episode where she tells Ricky that she is pregnant she tries all kinds of ways in all different manners to tell him that they are going to have a baby but Ricky refuses to listen and all kinds of interuptions happen and so Lucy doesn't get to share her wonderful news. So finally she goes down to the studio where Ricky is performing and slips a note to someone to have him play that song so that she can finally tell Ricky they are having a baby. Ricky gets the note sings the song and walks to different couples trying to figure out who is going to have the baby. He walks by Lucy and she smiles really big but Ricky doesnt think about it until finally it dawns on him, He is the one who is going to be having a baby!
I had it all planned out. The day we found out we were pregnant I was going to sit down with Nathan when he came home from work and we were going to watch our favortie episode of I Love Lucy and I would have a dinner ready etc. Then I got the positive test and jumped up and down and ran around in circles for a bit running to find Nathan knowing good and well he was at work, ran back to the bathroom to make sure the test didnt fade then ran back into the other room to find what to do next. I felt quite silly, but I couldnt stop! So I called Nathan the whole plan I had previously went way out the window withing 10 seconds and I told Nathan we are going to have a baby! :-) All of this to say, we have been asked by a few people to start a blog for our baby/family. So I suppose that is what we will do. Our due date is July 2, 2009 and I am 6 weeks and 1 day. Soon I will post pictures so that everyone can see me and my belly. Thats all for now.
